  • Stuttgart, Dec 12, 2013 - Freiburg-based master electrician Reiner Ullmann is a successful proponent of electric mobility: two Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL panel vans were introduced into his fleet of some 15 vehicles just under six months ago. "My experience has been entirely positive," the business owner notes. Taking stock after three months, he enthused: "Electric mobility fascinates me." He has already ordered his next electric vehicle - a smart fortwo electric drive.
  • Continuous TextCoventry/Stuttgart, Jun 20, 2013 - Britain’s Network Rail will in future use the Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL to transfer its staff between the Westwood Leadership Development Centre and the local Tile Hill railway station. Network Rail is the operator of Britain’s rail infrastructure and owns the physical assets of the former nationalised British Rail. Those assets include track and signalling, tunnels, bridges and level crossings as well as the management of 17 key UK railway stations.
  • Stuttgart, Feb 20, 2013 - In the coming months Mercedes-Benz Danmark is due to deliver 50 new Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL battery-powered electric vehicles to the Danish postal services (Post Danmark). This is the largest order for Vito E-CELL panel vans in Europe to date.
  • Geneva, Mar 6, 2012 - A world first from Mercedes-Benz Vans: the Vito E-CELL crewbus is the first seven-seater vehicle worldwide to offer local emission-free mobility ex-factory as standard. With its range of around 130 km it is ideal for use in environmentally sensitive areas, such as pedestrian zones, city centres or health resorts.
  • Stuttgart, Feb 22, 2012 - From Eutin in the north to Munich in the south, from Duisburg in the west to Dresden in the east – more than 30 branches and trade partners of Daimler AG are now operating as sales and service outlets for the Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL. This ensures virtually blanket availability throughout Germany for the first van to be supplied with a standard-fit electric drive ex-factory.
  • Stuttgart/Berlin, Jan 17, 2012 - Quiet, emissions-free and practical – 100 battery-driven electric Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL vans have proven their worth in customer use in Berlin and Stuttgart. The world’s first van fitted with an electric drive system ex factory has been taking to the roads in the German capital since autumn 2010, and in Stuttgart since the beginning of 2011. The two projects, each with 50 Vito E-CELLs, are intended to run over a period of four years.
  • Stuttgart, Sep 27, 2011 - The Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL is making its mark thanks to an innovative concept and high-performance drive system. A fully functioning van for everyday applications, it has a maximum payload of around 900kg and a load compartment with no restrictions on use. This means it can assume all the usual transportation duties of a vehicle in its class and makes it an ideal choice for courier and parcel services.
