Stuttgart. Although they have different personalities, they still have much in common: here the GLC, a dynamic character type and, as a coupé, the sports car among the SUVs, there the E-Class, the masterpiece of intelligence. Both model series are exceptionally popular, and there is now an even wider choice of the two best-sellers: eleven new models are now available, including – as the highlight – the Mercedes-Benz GLC 350 e 4MATIC Coupé, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé and the Mercedes-AMG E 43 4MATIC Estate.

Two powerful all-wheel-drive models round off the top end of the GLC model range: the GLC 350 d 4MATIC with 190 kW (258 hp) is the new top-of-the-line model among the diesels, while, among the petrol-engined models, the GLC 300 4MATIC with 180 kW (245 hp) fills the gap between GLC 250 4MATIC and GLC 43 4MATIC.

The GLC Coupé is now available in four new models: with the GLC 350 e 4MATIC Coupé, Mercedes-Benz for the first time offers a mid-size SUV coupé with plug-in technology. With a system output of 235 kW (320 hp) and a torque of 560 Nm, the CO2 emissions according to the NEDC standard are 59-64 g/km (depending on the tyres). The drive system combines agile driving pleasure with very low fuel consumption and local zero emissions with a range of up to 34 km.

The portfolio in this body variant is supplemented by the GLC 350 d 4MATIC Coupé with a 190 kW (258 hp) six-cylinder diesel engine and the GLC 300 4MATIC Coupé with a 180 kW (245 hp) four-cylinder petrol engine. For even more power, there is the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé, which combines a sporty, elegant design with the brand's hallmark Driving Performance and the advantages of an SUV in terms of seating position, interior flexibility and also traction off the beaten track. The 270 kW (367 hp) 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine, 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission with shorter shift times and AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive configured with a rear bias form the basis for an especially dynamic on-road driving experience.

E-Class: wider choice of saloon and estate models

The E-Class model range is also continuing to grow apace, with a total of five new versions now available. Two new all-wheel-drive variants offer traction under even the most adverse conditions: the E 220 d 4MATIC and the E 400 4MATIC Estate. At the same time, the E 200 d with 110 kW (150 hp) and the E 350 d with 190 kW (258 hp) round off the range of diesel-engined Estate models at the bottom and top ends, respectively. Now with seven available models, the Estate portfolio has more than doubled.

The range also includes the Mercedes-AMG E 43 4MATIC - the first Performance level of the new Estate. With the powerful 295 kW (401 hp) 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine, 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission with shorter shift times, AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive and model-specific sports suspension, the E 43 4MATIC boasts the AMG brand's hallmark driving performance and increased agility.
