Mercedes-Benz eSprinter: pilot project with Austrian Post to test state-of-the-art fine particle filter technology delivers first results
Stuttgart, Dec 6, 2022 - In August, two eSprinter operated by Austrian Post (Österreichische Post), the country's major provider of postal services, were equipped with integrated fine particle filters in the front module, designed to reduce particle emissions. Since then, the all-electric vans have been out and about in Graz every day and have now covered a total of almost 6.400 km on their delivery routes.

As a van plant of the first hour, the 'Bremer' and the 'Düsseldorfer' rolled off the production line here as early as 1995. The 5 millionth van is an eSprinter, which has been produced in Düsseldorf since the end of 2019.

Later there will be further variants with a long wheelbase as well as a Mixto version. The first markets will see Citan deliveries by the end of October.
