This award is based on a Life Cycle Assessment in which the independent experts at TÜV Süd (the German Technical Inspection Authority) comprehensively assess the environmental impact of the passenger car over its entire life cycle.

  • Stuttgart, Dec 9, 2015 - Mercedes-Benz will expand the new Driving Assistance package of the future E-Class for the market launch in spring with "Active Lane Change Assist" and will thereby make the business class saloon car even more intelligent. The radar- and camera-based assistance system supports the driver in changing lanes, e.g. when overtaking on multi-lane roads. The system thus offers a significant further increase in comfort and can help to prevent collisions.
  • Stuttgart, Dec 9, 2015 - Mercedes-Benz is taking a big step into the future by numerous innovations with the new E-Class, including in terms of the design of the interior, which features a wide high-resolution next-generation dual display (12.3 inches per display) that appears to hover in space. Thanks to the high level of efficiency of the patented transmission design, NEDC fuel consumption in the E-Class is reduced to 5.3 litres of diesel per 100 km.

  • Stuttgart, Jul 17, 2009 - Mercedes-Benz is adding to the engine line-up for the new E-Class by introducing two economical four-cylinder models. The E 200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY developing 100 kW/136 hp consumes 5.2 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres, while the new E 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY has an output of 135 kW/184 hp and consumes 7.2 litres of petrol per 100 kilometres.
