From left: Hermann Lang with start no. 26, Manfred von Brauchitsch with start no. 4 and Rudolf Caracciola with start no. 12. Three of four cars broke down. Caracciola dented the rear-end of his car when he skidded into a barrier. Von Brauchitsch took over the car and still managed to secure third place.
